Why do you sometimes write Zeta without the 'e'? ZTA are the Greek letters Zeta, Tau, and Alpha. This is the official name of our women's fraternity. "Zeta" is the nickname of our social club. We usually abbreviate Zeta Tau Alpha to ZTA or call it by its nickname for efficiency.
The Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation is the philanthropic and fundraising arm of the Fraternity. The Foundation leads our efforts in breast cancer education and awareness , provides around $1 million in scholarships annually, and sponsors educational and leadership opportunities for our members and others.
June 10, 2021 ZTA eliminates its Legacy Policy National Council has announced that, effective immediately, Zeta Tau Alpha collegiate chapters will no longer give legacies preferential consideration during recruitment. The term "legacy" will continue to recognize the special relationship between Zetas and their sisters, daughters or grandmothers.
